About Us

History

Since 2007, we have been working in the development and execution of projects to generate renewable energies in the Dominican Republic. Our team is made up of experienced experts with an international net-work and excellent contacts to political and economic decision makers and to all ministeries in the Dominican Republic.

We offer our customers and partners tailormade projects in the energy supply markets of the future as well as short and fast decisionmaking channels without bureaucratic stumbling blocks. On 1 September 2009, the first energy consultancy office in the Latin American region opened the doors of its prominent location at Av. George Washington esq. C/Pasteur, Edif. Torre Veiramar I, Santo Domingo.

We are proud to have developed a plan of action together with the government of the Dominican Republic. This plan will compensate for the massive deficits in the energy sector in the next 5 years, to a great extent through solar power.

Initial Situation

The Dominican Republic is using over 70% of oil imports for energy production. Due to increased fuel prices, the cost for electrical generation has skyrocketed.

The Dominican Government is committed to significant increases in renewable energies like solar and wind farms.

To effect growth in renewable energy resources, in 2007 the Government adopted Law 57-07, law based on the German and Spanish laws.

The countries entire new administration, lead by Luis Abinader, the President of Dominican Republic, is in active support of all our projects.

The target is very clear: opening a new era of energy independence for the country and opening this market to foreign investors.

One international forum for renewable energy is following the other and already connected capacity of 1 GW installed capacity shows the world the exciting market for solar in Dominican Republic.

Philosophy

The development of renewable energies is not only a matter of technological advancement but also an opportunity to foster sustainable practices and create positive change in local communities. Our philosophy goes beyond the implementation of renewable energy sources and incorporates aspects of sustainability and local involvement.

Involving local companies in the development of renewable energy projects can have multiple benefits. By partnering with local businesses, we not only support the local economy but also foster innovation and job creation. This approach allows for the transmission of knowledge, skills, and expertise within the community, empowering individuals and stimulating economic growth.

By providing educational programs and workshops, we can raise awareness about the importance of sustainable practices and motivate individuals to actively participate in the transition to a greener future. Education should be designed to engage both young students and adults, equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to become agents of change in their communities.

Projects

The first solar park in the Dominican Republic was fully developed by our team of experts in two stages of expansion up to a total capacity of 64 MW and sold to the company WIRSOL AG in 2012. The park was built by the company Soventix and received in 2017 the ATABEY Environmental Award as the most beautiful solar park in the Caribbean. The jury recognized the project’s contribution to the energy transition in the Dominican Republic.

Projects

After the renewable energy sector in the Dominican Republic came to a standstill over a period of 8 years under the last government, fortunately our 2nd developed park El Soco with a capacity of 79 MW could be put into operation in 2022 by the company BAS/DOMINION. This is a significant contribution to the goals of the current government under Luis Abinader to produce 25 % of the energy demand of the Dominican Republic from renewable energies until the year 2025.
